The Chisholm Catholic College Scholarship
Value: first year tuition fees, up to a maximum of $12,000

The purpose of The Chisholm Catholic College Scholarship is to assist a Year 12 student from Chisholm Catholic College who wishes to commence their undergraduate studies at The University of Notre Dame Australia, Fremantle. The Scholarship may support a student who wishes to study in any School at the University's Fremantle Campus.

To be eligible for consideration, applicants must:

  1. Have graduated or be due to graduate from full time Year 12 studies at Chisholm Catholic College in the year immediately prior to the year in which the Scholarship commences;
  2. Be enrolled in an Undergraduate Degree at the Fremantle Campus of the University; and
  3. Be able to demonstrate drive and commitment to achieve academically, despite financial need or other personal difficulty.

The Leonard & Ursula Keating Scholarship
Value: $1,000

The purpose of the Scholarship is to assist and encourage students in financial need who are continuing their studies at The University of Notre Dame Australia, Fremantle. These students will have demonstrated drive and commitment to achieve academically, despite financial hardship or other personal difficulty.

To be eligible for the Scholarship, applicants must:

  1. Be a citizen or permanent resident of Australia;
  2. Be enrolled full time at The University of Notre Dame Australia, Fremantle;
  3. Be undertaking their studies internally; and
  4. Be able to demonstrate:
    1. that their educational opportunities are limited due to adverse circumstances such as distance, financial need, disability or responsibility for the care of the ill or the elderly; and
    2. how the award of the Scholarship would assist the applicant in addressing the limitations referred to in i).

Please note: this Scholarship is only open to students enrolled from second year onward in 2018.

The Monsignor E. Sullivan Scholarship
Value: $500

The purpose of the Scholarship is to assist and encourage students in financial need and who have demonstrated contributions to community service, who are commencing their studies at The University of Notre Dame Australia, Fremantle.

To be eligible for the Scholarship, applicants must:

  1. Be a citizen or permanent resident of Australia;
  2. Be enrolled full time at The University of Notre Dame Australia, Fremantle;
  3. Be undertaking their studies internally; and
  4. Be able to demonstrate:
    1. drive and commitment to achieve academically, despite financial hardship or other personal difficulty; and
    2. exemplary community service, personal volunteer efforts and active involvement in helping others.

Please note: this Scholarship is only open to students enrolled in their first year of studies in 2018.

The Fr PJ McGuire Scholarship
Value: $2,500

The purpose of the Fr PJ McGuire Scholarship is to support students of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent, with a preference for Kimberley students, studying at the Broome, Fremantle, or Sydney Campus of The University of Notre Dame Australia (University).

To be eligible for the Scholarship, applicants must:

  • Be and state that he/she identifies as an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person and is recognised by his/her community as a person of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent;
  • Be enrolled or accepted for enrolment in an Undergraduate, Postgraduate or VET course at The University of Notre Dame Australia;
  • Be able to demonstrate that the award of the Scholarship would assist their educational opportunities;
  • Demonstrate academic merit;
  • Demonstrate personal commitment and motivation to succeed in their study; and
  • Be undertaking their studies internally.

The Shire of Christmas Island Scholarship
Value: $5,000

The purpose of the Scholarship is to assist a Year 12 student from the Christmas Island District High School who wishes to commence their undergraduate studies at The University of Notre Dame Australia, Fremantle. The student will have demonstrated drive and commitment to achieve academically, despite financial hardship or other personal difficulty. The Scholarship may support a student who wishes to study in any School at the University's Fremantle Campus.

To be eligible for the Scholarship, applicants must:

  1. Have graduated or be due to graduate from full time Year 12 studies at the Christmas Island District High School in the year immediately prior to the year in which the Scholarship commences;
  2. Have been accepted as a full time first year or foundation year student at The University of Notre Dame, Fremantle;
  3. Be planning to undertake their studies at the University internally;
  4. Be able to demonstrate that their educational opportunities are limited because of the remoteness of the location they reside in; and
  5. Be able to demonstrate drive and commitment to achieve academically, despite financial hardship or other personal difficulty.

The John Joseph Magee PSM Scholarship
Value: $3,000

The John Joseph Magee PSM Scholarship has been established to assist and encourage students who have demonstrated drive and commitment to achieve academically, despite financial hardship or other personal difficulty, in order to commence or continue their studies at the Fremantle Campus of The University of Notre Dame Australia.

To be eligible for the Scholarship, applicants must be:

  1. Be enrolled full time at the Fremantle Campus; and
  2. Be undertaking their studies internally.

Applicants are required to demonstrate:

  1. Financial need and any other personal circumstances which warrant special consideration;
  2. Drive and commitment to achieve academically;
  3. Exemplary community service, personal volunteer efforts and active involvement in helping others; and
  4. Academic merit.

Value: $2,000

The purpose of The Holy Rosary Parish of Nedlands Scholarship is to assist and encourage students who have demonstrated drive and commitment to achieve academically, despite financial hardship or other personal difficulty, in order to commence or continue their studies at the Fremantle Campus of The University of Notre Dame Australia.

To be eligible for the Scholarship, applicants must:

  1. Be enrolled full time;
  2. Be undertaking their studies internally;
  3. Have demonstrated:
    1. drive and commitment to achieve academically, despite financial hardship or other personal difficulty; and
    2. exemplary community service, personal volunteer efforts and active involvement in helping others.

Special consideration will be given to Holy Rosary Parish of Nedlands parishioners who have met the above requirements.

The Catholic Women's League of Western Australia (Inc.) Scholarship
Value: $3,000

The purpose of the Scholarship is to assist and encourage meritorious female students for whom educational opportunities are limited because of financial need. These students will have demonstrated drive and commitment to the principles of the Catholic Women's League, with special consideration to applicants with a permanent home address of 160 kilometres or more from the Perth CBD. To be eligible for consideration, applicants must be enrolled in an Undergraduate or Research Degree at the Fremantle campus of The University of Notre Dame Australia; demonstrate an understanding of the principles of the Catholic Women's League (as outlined in APPENDIX 1 of the Scholarship Conditions) through a personal statement enclosed in the Scholarship application; and inform the University if in receipt of any other Scholarship.

The Vice Chancellor's Humanitarian Scholarship
Value: Tuition fees of the recipient.

The purpose of the Scholarship is to assist students holding Protection Visas under the Australian Government's Refugee and Humanitarian Programme to commence or continue with their studies at the University. The Scholarship has been established by the University in keeping with the University's commitment to ethics and social justice, within a context of Catholic faith and values

To be eligible for consideration, applicants must:

  • Be from a refugee or asylum seeker background as evidenced by the recipient holding a current Australian Government Refugee and Humanitarian Protection Visa which permits the recipient to undertake tertiary studies in Australia;
  • Be able to demonstrate that they will be able to reside in Australia for the completion of their course; and
  • Have been accepted or are enrolled as a student in an undergraduate bachelor program or in a Foundation or Enabling program at The University of Notre Dame Australia, Fremantle or Sydney campus.

Willetton Parish Scholarship (Academic Merit)
Value - Tuition fees in the recipient's first academic year only, up to a maximum of $7,500.

The Scholarship is to provide tuition assistance to a first year student in the School of Arts and Sciences, Fremantle.

The T.A.S Scholarship Value: 40% of the recipient's tuition fees

The purpose of The T.A.S. Scholarship is to enable graduates from Catholic Secondary Schools in Western Australia to undertake a Bachelor's Degree in the disciplines of Commerce or Philosophy or Theology on the Fremantle Campus of The University of Notre Dame Australia. The Scholarship aims to assist students whose educational opportunities are limited due to financial or economic hardship by meeting 40% of the cost of their course tuition fees for the duration of their studies. To be eligible for the Scholarship applicants must:

  • be a citizen or permanent resident of Australia;
  • have graduated from a Catholic Secondary School and be of Catholic denomination;
  • be eligible to enrol or be enrolled as a full-time student at The University of Notre Dame Australia in the School of Business or the School of Philosophy and Theology;
  • be able to demonstrate:
  • that their educational opportunities are limited due to adverse circumstances such as distance, financial need, disability or responsibility for the care of the ill or the elderly; and
  • how the award of the scholarship would assist the applicant in addressing the limitations referred to in a) above.

    The HELYRON Education Scholarship
    Value - $3,000 plus tuition fees

    The HELYRON Education Scholarship is to assist and encourage meritorious students, for whom educational opportunities are limited because of financial need, to commence a teaching degree through providing assistance with their education related expenses and by meeting the cost of their course tuition fees. These students will have demonstrated motivation and commitment to achieve academically, despite financial hardship, in order to commence studies at the Fremantle Campus of The University of Notre Dame Australia.

    To be eligible for consideration, an applicant must, at the time of application:

    1. Be enrolled at The University of Notre Dame Australia, Fremantle Campus on a full time basis;
    2. Be enrolled in the applicant's first year of the following courses:
      1. Bachelor of Education;
      2. Graduate Diploma of Education; or
      3. Master of Teaching;
    3. Be a citizen or permanent resident of Australia;
    4. Have completed their secondary education at a Catholic School in Western Australia;
    5. Be able to demonstrate that their educational opportunities are limited due to financial need, as evidenced by:
      1. The receipt of a means tested Commonwealth income support payment (such as Youth Allowance, Health Care Card, Austudy, or ABSTUDY); or
      2. The provision of a Statutory Declaration/s demonstrating financial hardship; and
    6. Have their application for the Scholarship endorsed by their school Principal, if the applicant is a first year Bachelor of Education student as listed in 6(ii)(a).

    Value: $2,500

    The Knights of the Southern Cross Waldron Education Scholarship is to assist and encourage meritorious students enrolled in the School of Education, Fremantle at The University of Notre Dame Australia, to commence a teaching degree with a view to teach in the Catholic Education System.

    To be eligible for the Scholarship, applicants must:

    1. Be a citizen or permanent resident of Australia;

    The Alexander Sergius Eustace Horan Scholarship
    Value: $3,500 to $4,500

    The purpose of the Scholarship is to assist and encourage a student, enrolled in the School of Law at the Fremantle Campus of The University of Notre Dame Australia, for whom educational opportunities are limited due to financial or economic hardship. The Scholarship will be awarded to a Student in the School of Law for the duration of their Bachelor of Laws degree whether enrolled in a three (3) year graduate entry, four (4) year undergraduate degree in Bachelor of Laws or five (5) year Bachelor of Laws Combined, having commenced in either Semester One or Semester Two.

    The purpose of The MADAL Scholarships in Medicine is to assist and encourage students in financial need enrolled in the School of Medicine at The University of Notre Dame Australia, Fremantle. Up to three cash Scholarships of $7,000 each will be awarded per annum. To be eligible for the Scholarship, applicants must have enrolled as a full time student in the School of Medicine, Fremantle, and be able to demonstrate that their educational opportunities are limited due to adverse circumstances.

    The Frank Reedy Scholarship in Medicine
    Value: $9,000

    The purpose of the Scholarship is to assist and encourage female students from rural Western Australia who wish to commence their studies with the School of Medicine at The University of Notre Dame Australia, Fremantle.

    To be eligible for the Scholarship, applicants must:

    1. Have enrolled as a first year full time student in the School of Medicine, Fremantle;
    2. Be a female student; and
    3. Meet the criteria to be considered a rural student. Rural background is defined as residency for 5 years consecutively or 10 years cumulatively in an ASGS-RA 2-5 area.

    Value: $7,000 per annum

    The purpose of the Scholarship is to assist a student from regional Western Australia who wishes to commence their undergraduate studies with the School of Nursing & Midwifery at The University of Notre Dame Australia, Fremantle (University).

    To be eligible for the Scholarship, applicants must:

    • Be a School Leaver applicant;
    • Have enrolled as a domestic full time student with the School of Nursing & Midwifery, Fremantle;
    • Have a permanent home address a distance of at least 160 kilometres from the Perth GPO (measured in a straight line); and
    • Have been a resident of Western Australia for at least 3 years.
