  • Biography

    Sarah Gaudieri is a lecturer in the Behavioural Science program in the School of Arts and Sciences on the Fremantle campus. She graduated from the University of Otago, Dunedin, with a Masters degree in psychology, focusing on developmental, educational and social psychology. Sarah's thesis examined leadership endorsement and social justice. She worked as a vocational psychologist for people with psychiatric disabilities and head injury as well as being a founding volunteer of Lifeline Otago in counselling and training roles.

    On moving to Perth, Sarah completed a Graduate Diploma of Education (Early Childhood) at Edith Cowan University. She worked in government schools for 10 years before moving to the tertiary sector.

    Sarah is currently conducting research for her PhD focusing on the lived experience of former students with developmental neurological differences e.g. ADHD, Specific Learning Disorders and Sensory Processing Disorder, and teachers' experiences of working with students with these diagnoses.
    Sarah coordinates and teaches courses in Developmental Psychology, Research Methods and Community Mental Health. She is involved in establishing further support for students with learning differences at the University and with community agencies FremantleMind Inc and Western Australian Recovery College which provide courses and support for people living with a range of mental health conditions.
