  • Biography

    Caterina was educated at Mercedes and Aranmore and she obtained her qualifications from Curtin University. Caterina’s major studies was in Accounting with focus on Business Law, Company Law and related areas. Caterina mainly studied at Curtin University and obtained her Master of Business in 1989.

    Caterina's interest in Company and Business Law, gained her various positions within the public and private sectors with: KPMG Peat Marwick Mitchell, Mallesons Stephen Jaques, Freehill Hollingdale and Page, Sparke Helmore, the Australian Securities and Investments Commission and the Corporate Affairs Department.

    Caterina commenced lecturing in Business Law in 1989 and lectured at Central TAFE, the Australian Institute of University Studies – Joondalup, Edith Cowan University – Joondalup and Churchlands Campuses as well as CurtinUniversity. The subjects included Business Law, Commercial Law, Company Law, Commercial and Civic Principles, Equity Law and Property Law.

    At Notre Dame, Caterina is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Business lecturing and tutoring in Business Law, Company Law and is also the Post Graduate Course Coordinator.

    On 6th April 2004, being awarded the Inaugural Outstanding Lecturer Award by the Student Association at The University of Notre Dame and has been the recipient of a number of teaching commendations and awards.

    Predominantly business law, company law and associated research areas with a focus on the legal business environment within the context business ethics, morals and corporate governance.
