  • Biography

    Cathryn holds a Diploma of Nursing (SCGH), Bachelor of Nursing (ECU), Graduate Certificate in Child & Family Health (Curtin), Graduate Diploma of Midwifery (CDU), Doctor of Philosophy (University of Sydney) and Bob & June Prickett Churchill Fellowship. Cath has experience in rural and remote nursing – mostly in remotely located Aboriginal communities, child health, midwifery & research. Cath was part of two research projects recognised in the NHMRC ‘10 of the Best’ showcasing significant projects (2022 & 2014) that support the improvement of human health.

    Cath has undertaken several mixed methods research studies. She is particularly interested in participatory action research. Cath has co-supervised one Masters student to completion. She is currently supervising research projects for a PhD candidate and a Masters student.
