  • Biography

    Marie is a registered nurse, credentialed mental health nurse, accredited counsellor and supervisor. She has worked in a variety of settings including public hospitals and in private practice. Marie has been employed as registered and clinical nurse in multiple areas including rehabilitation, infection control, theatre and general practice. Her mental health skills have been utilised in the rehabilitation setting, in private practice and as clinical supervisor both privately and in corporate settings.

    Marie is currently employed within the School of Nursing and Midwifery as a lecturer where she delivers and coordinates several courses. She has also taught mental health courses or coordinating several programs in postgraduate. She is currently undertaking a PhD at Notre Dame and her research is focusing on student nurses wellbeing and the role of humour as a coping mechanism in nursing.
