  • Biography

I obtained my PhD in 2004 from Birkbeck College, University of London and started work at the University of Notre Dame Australia shortly afterwards. I work on moral and political theory with an interest in the contribution of empirical science to moral philosophy. I also work on foundational questions in professional ethics in particular role ethics and professional formation. I have published widely on this and other topics most recently editing a special edition of the Journal of Value Inquiry on virtues and roles. I am currently completing a monograph Natural Citizens: Ethical Formation as Biological Development.
