  • Biography

    Megan is currently co-ordinating the 2nd year Orthopaedics Unit and assists with teaching the Clinical Education 1 Unit. She has been teaching at Notre Dame for the past 6 years, where she is also a member of the School's Learning and Teaching Committee.

    Prior to this, Megan gained clinical experience in both hospital and private practice settings in South Africa, England and in Perth. This culminated in her setting up and directing Merlin Physiotherapy, a private practice in the northern suburbs, until she commenced at Notre Dame in 2012.

    Megan has recently completed a Master of Philosophy degree, researching Pain and its modulating factors.

  • Teaching areas

    Megan co-ordinates PHTY2004 (Clinical Orthopaedics) and teaches into the PHTY2008 Clinical Education I unit.

  • Research expertise and supervision

    Megan has marked Honours theses and assisted in supervising Honours students. She has recently completed a Master of Philosophy degree through Notre Dame, with her research focusing on understanding the mechanisms underlying Pain. Her research article is titled “Visually-induced analgesia in a deep tissue experimental pain model: a randomised cross-over experiment.” This article has been accepted for publication in the European Journal of Pain.
