Our School offers a robust and practical curriculum that reflects the opportunities open to students in today’s dynamic economy. You will have the opportunity to gain the expertise, knowledge and skills needed to succeed in the commercial world through exciting career development experiences that include industry placements, industry-led workshops, mentoring and opportunities for international study, immersion programs and volunteering.

Of particular note is our Business Internship Program. Held over four weeks, the program includes seminars in career planning and professional development, as well as insightful presentations by industry leaders from the likes of Microsoft, IBM and Coca-Cola Amatil. Your industry placement will give you the opportunity to implement your skills within a practical setting. Host organisations include the likes of Nine Network, NSW Parliament and the Commonwealth Bank.

  • Work Integrated Learning

    Business students have the opportunity to participate in a four-week internship program. The program begins with seminars in career planning and professional development, as well as presentations by industry leaders sharing valuable insights into their particular workplaces. Past speakers have included executives from major corporations such as Microsoft, IBM and Coca-Cola Amatil.

  • Mentoring/Academic Support

    Through our extensive mentoring programs students can build professional networks, get direct access to industry leaders and gain exposure to the realities of the industry. Academic support is also available through Student Success. Student Success runs regular workshop sessions which cover topics such as time management, essay writing and critical thinking, research and referencing, stress management, academic writing tips, language conventions, memory skills, and exam preparation.

    The School of Law & Business is situated in the bustling heart of Sydney’s Broadway precinct and boasts state-of-the-art computer labs. St Benedict’s Library provides a substantial and growing physical holdings of books, scholarly journals, law reports, government legislation, education curriculum resources, magazines and DVDs, supplemented by extensive online collections of multidisciplinary and specialist books, encyclopaedias, journals, case studies, commentaries, magazines, newspapers, videos and other resource types.
