Alternative Entry Pathways

Notre Dame aims to offer higher education to all who can generally benefit from it. It is for this reason that the University assists students by stipulating realistic academic minimum entry requirements and provides alternative entry pathways including into our Bachelor of Laws and combined law programs.

Students who have proceeded through the Notre Dame Sydney Campus admissions process but have not been offered place in their nominated law course are encourage to consider an alternative entry pathway. The following list outlines the University’s alternative entry pathway for its undergraduate law courses.

Undergraduate degrees in the School of Law *

  • Bachelor-level study - Notre Dame will consider applicants who have successfully completed a minimum of four courses (units) with a high credit average of a Bachelor’s Degree from an Australian University; or
    Relevant TAFE or approved RTO Diploma award or higher; or
  • Special Tertiary Admissions Test (STAT) results of 160 in both Multiple Choice and Written English components.

* Excluding Bachelor of Laws (Graduate Entry- 3 year)

Graduate entry degrees in the School of Law *

Notre Dame also offers a graduate entry Bachelor of Laws degree which is designed to be completed in accelerated mode over 3 calendar years. The admission requirement for this program is completion of any Bachelor‘s degree.
