  • Biography

    Robert's legal career began in the New South Wales Law Reform Commission working on police powers of arrest and detention. He then worked as a commercial litigator for 20 years. He represented clients in all New South Wales Courts, the Federal Magistrates Court, the Federal Court and in many tribunals. He specialised in product liability claims in the Dust Diseases Tribunal. In addition to teaching, he is the Director of the Macarthur Legal Centre - a community legal centre based in Campbelltown.

  • Teaching areas

    Robert's main areas of teaching are Criminal Law and Civil Procedure. He has also taught Torts, Contemporary Legal Issues, Business Law and Work, Health and Safety.

  • Research expertise and supervision

    Robert's research interests are in the intersection of jurisprudence and positive law - especially criminal law and the concept of criminal liability.
