  • What happens if I am both a staff member and a student?

    LinkedIn provision an account for staff and student accounts. It is recommended to use the account related to your current association with the University.

    • Full-time staff who also have a student account should use their Staff account for LinkedIn Learning.
    • Students with an active SES contract should use their Student account for LinkedIn Learning.

    If you need to change access to your LinkedIn Learning account, please contact your IT service desk to assist with moving content from one to the other.

  • Do I have to connect my personal LinkedIn account and profile to LinkedIn Learning?

    No – the option to connect your LinkedIn account with LinkedIn Learning is up to you. Accounts can be kept separate or join them if you change your mind.

  • What happens if I have two LinkedIn Learning accounts?

    LinkedIn provision an account for staff and student accounts. Log in with the account related to your current association with the University.

    You may find you have two accounts if you have previously used LinkedIn Learning as a free trial or invited by another user of the University. Please contact your IT service desk to remove the duplicate account.

  • What happens if I already have a LinkedIn Learning account?

    No problem, you can keep both accounts. Sign in to your University account when completing courses related to your employment or studies.

    It is important to note that you can only connect one account to LinkedIn at a time.

  • I can't set up my SSO account with Notre Dame?

    Having troubles registering your Notre Dame account with LinkedIn Learning. Contact your IT service desk to connect with SSO.

  • I used a free trial of LinkedIn Learning. Can I still access LinkedIn Learning through Notre Dame?

    Yes – Sign in with your Notre Dame credentials using the registration portal to set up access to your University LinkedIn Learning account. If you have already signed up to a trial account previously using your Notre Dame email your account updates with the SSO login.

    1. Access the registration portal
    2. Sign in using your University ID and password

    If you are unable to sign in, please contact your IT service desk to check your account information.

  • How do I access LinkedIn Learning after registration?

    You can access your LinkedIn Learning account a few different ways after your initial registration is complete.

    1. LinkedIn is available under Your Tools for quick access.
    2. Search LinkedIn Learning online to access your account through their online portal.
    3. You can access LinkedIn Learning through your LinkedIn account if your accounts are joined.  You may join the accounts together at any time to see what your contacts are learning online.
  • How do I access LinkedIn Learning before registration?

    Before accessing LinkedIn Learning from the staff portal or through LinkedIn you must register. To register follow these steps:

    1. Access the registration portal
    2. Sign in using your University ID and password
  • When should I contact the IT Office for support?

    Contact IT if you are experiencing the following issues

    • Cannot register your account
    • Cannot access your account after registration
    • Can see two accounts with the same email
    • Signed up to a trial account with your Notre Dame email
  • Do I require a LinkedIn account to access LinkedIn Learning?

    No – Staff and students do not require a LinkedIn account to be able to access LinkedIn Learning. LinkedIn Learning runs as a separate account for business, study and research purposes.

  • Is there restrictions on LinkedIn Learning courses I can access and complete?

    Staff and students have access to the full library of online videos with LinkedIn Learning. Find videos on creativity, design, management, bsiness, technology and more. There is no limit to the number of courses you wish to complete with LinkedIn Learning.

  • If LinkedIn Learning different to LinkedIn?

    LinkedIn: LinkedIn is the world's largest professional network on the internet. You can use LinkedIn to find the right job or internship, connect and strengthen professional relationships , and learn the skills you need to succeed in your career.

    LinkedIn Learning: LinkedIn Learning is an online educational platform that helps you discover and develop business, technology-related, and creative skills through expert-led course videos. Staff and students do not require a LinkedIn account to be able to access LinkedIn Learning.
