The University of Notre Dame Australia is committed to providing and maintaining a safe and healthy environment for all staff, students, visitors, volunteers and contractors.
The Work Health and Safety (WHS) Policy provides the framework for health and safety across the University.
Health and Safety Committee
The National Health and Safety Committee is advisory in nature, providing consultation and dissemination of information on health and safety matters thereby supporting and strengthening the safety and health of our Notre Dame community.

Health and Safety Representatives
Each campus has Health and Safety Representatives. The role of the Health and Safety Representative is to:
- assist in identifying and resolving health and safety matters on campus;
- investigate incidents;
- conduct regular workplace inspections;
- refer health and safety matters to the relevant Health and Safety Committee;
- liaise with staff regarding health and safety matters; and
- keep informed of health and safety information provided by the University.

Reporting an Injury, Incident, Hazard or Near Miss
All University Employees, Students, Volunteers, Contractors and Visitors are responsible for reporting injuries, incidents, hazards and near misses that occur from any University work activity.
Please use the Incident Report Form (Link to attached form) below to report any injuries, incidents hazards and near misses within 24 hours. Be sure to provide as much detail as possible when describing the incident in the form, this will assist the University to thoroughly investigate incidents.
