Prizes and Awards

Notre Dame offers a range of prizes and awards for students.

Funded by the University, industry, individuals and non-profit organisations, prizes and awards are available across all Schools. While the selection criteria vary for each prize, community involvement and leadership roles, as well as academic performance and financial hardship, are considered as part of the eligibility requirements.

Service Awards

  • The Toby Hicks Service to Student Community Award

    Value: $1,000

    This Award is awarded annually to students or recent graduates of the University from each of its three campuses, who have made an outstanding contribution to support and enhance the life of the University student community.

  • The Helen Lombard Award

    Value: $1,000

    This Award is awarded annually to a female student who has made an outstanding contribution to student leadership and the advancement of the Catholic mission and goals of the University.

  • The Archbishop Foley Award

    Value: $1,000

    This Award is awarded annually to a student who has made an outstanding contribution to service and the advancement of the Catholic mission and goals of the University.

  • The Br Gerald T Faulkner Award

    Value: $1,000

    This Award is awarded annually to a student who has made an outstanding contribution through selfless community service.

  • The St Mary MacKillop Award

    Value: $1,000

    This Award is awarded annually to a student who has made an outstanding contribution to the advancement of the Catholic mission and goals of the University. This student will have demonstrated St Mary of the Cross’ philosophy of “Never see a need without doing something about it.”

Education Awards

  • Knights of the Southern Cross Education Foundation Undergraduate Award

    Value: $500

    The purpose of the Prize is to recognise an undergraduate student who has achieved the highest academic grade for religious education courses in the School of Education at The University of Notre Dame Australia, Fremantle.
