    The purpose of the Scholarship is to assist and encourage international students, enrolled at The University of Notre Dame Australia, to be involved in the life and culture of the University and the broader community.

  • The Catenian Association (Province 20) Youth Scholarship

    Value: $4,000

    The purpose of the Scholarship is to assist and encourage a meritorious student for the duration of their studies, for whom educational opportunities are limited, for example, because of financial need, distance, or responsibility for others, such as the ill or elderly. The aim of the Scholarship is to advance the interests of young Catholics and to assist them in the choice or pursuit of a career. The student will have demonstrated drive and commitment to achieve academically, despite financial hardship or other personal difficulty, in order to continue their studies at the University.

    To be eligible for the Scholarship, applicants must:

    a. Be enrolled as a full time student at the University's Fremantle Campus;
    b. Have completed at least 1 year full time study towards their first Bachelor degree (with the exception of students enrolled in the School of Medicine);
    c. Be 18 to 24 years of age; and
    d. Be able to demonstrate that their educational opportunities are limited due to adverse circumstances as set out in the Selection Criteria.

  • The Catholic Women's League of Western Australia (Inc.) Scholarship

    Value: $3,000

    The purpose of the Scholarship is to assist and encourage meritorious female students for whom educational opportunities are limited because of financial need. These students will have demonstrated drive and commitment to the principles of the Catholic Women's League, with special consideration to applicants with a permanent home address of 160 kilometres or more from the Perth CBD.

    To be eligible for consideration, applicants must:

    a. be enrolled in an undergraduate or research degree at the Fremantle campus of The University of Notre Dame Australia;
    b. demonstrate an understanding of the principles of the Catholic Women’s League (as outlined in APPENDIX 1 of the Scholarship Conditions) through a personal statement enclosed in the Scholarship application; and
    c. inform the University if in receipt of any other scholarship.

  • The Chisholm Catholic College Scholarship

    Value: first year tuition fees, up to a maximum of $12,000

    The purpose of the Scholarship is to assist a Year 12 student from Chisholm Catholic College who wishes to commence their undergraduate studies at The University of Notre Dame Australia, Fremantle. The Scholarship may support a student who wishes to study in any School at the University’s Fremantle Campus.

    To be eligible for consideration, applicants must:

    a. Have graduated or be due to graduate from full time Year 12 studies at Chisholm Catholic College in the year immediately prior to the year in which the Scholarship commences;
    b. Be enrolled in an Undergraduate Degree at the Fremantle Campus of the University; and
    c. Be able to demonstrate drive and commitment to achieve academically, despite financial need or other personal difficulty.

  • The Fr PJ McGuire Scholarship

    Value: $2,500

    The purpose of the Scholarship is to support students of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent, with a preference for Kimberley students, studying at the Broome, Fremantle or Sydney Campus of The University of Notre Dame Australia.

    To be eligible for the Scholarship, applicants must:

    a. Be and state that he/she identifies as an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person and is recognised by his/her community as a person of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent;
    b. Be enrolled or accepted for enrolment in an Undergraduate, Postgraduate or VET course at The University of Notre Dame Australia;
    c. Be able to demonstrate that the award of the Scholarship would assist their educational opportunities;
    d. Demonstrate academic merit;
    e. Demonstrate personal commitment and motivation to succeed in their study; and
    f. Be undertaking their studies internally.

    Value: $2,000

    The purpose of the Scholarship is to assist and encourage students who have demonstrated a drive to commence or continue their studies at the Fremantle Campus of The University of Notre Dame Australia.

    To be eligible for the Scholarship, applicants must:

    a. Be enrolled full time;
    b. Be undertaking their studies internally; 
    c. Have demonstrated drive and commitment to achieve academically, despite financial hardship or other personal difficulty; and
    d. Have demonstrated exemplary community service, personal volunteer efforts and active involvement in helping others.

    Special consideration will be given to Holy Rosary Parish of Nedlands parishioners who have met the above requirements.

    This Scholarship has been established to assist and encourage students who have demonstrated a drive to commence or continue their studies at the Fremantle Campus of The University of Notre Dame Australia.

    a. Be enrolled full time at the Fremantle Campus; and
    b. Be undertaking their studies internally.

    a. Financial need and any other personal circumstances which warrant special consideration;

    c. Exemplary community service, personal volunteer efforts and active involvement in helping others; and

    Value: $3,500

    The purpose of the Scholarship is to assist and encourage students in financial need who are continuing their studies at The University of Notre Dame Australia, Fremantle. These students will have demonstrated drive and commitment to achieve academically, despite financial hardship or other personal difficulty.

    To be eligible for the Scholarship, applicants must:

    a. Be a citizen or permanent resident of Australia;
    b. Be enrolled full time at The University of Notre Dame Australia, Fremantle;
    c. Be undertaking their studies internally; 
    d. Demonstrate that their educational opportunities are limited due to adverse circumstances such as distance, financial need, disability or responsibility for the care of the ill or the elderly; and
    e. Demonstrate how the award of the Scholarship would assist the applicant in addressing the aforementioned limitations.

    The purpose of the Scholarship is to assist and encourage students in financial need and who have demonstrated contributions to community service, who are commencing their studies at The University of Notre Dame Australia, Fremantle.

    a. Be a citizen or permanent resident of Australia;
    b. Be enrolled full time at The University of Notre Dame Australia, Fremantle;
    c. Be undertaking their studies internally; and

    Value: $5,000

    The purpose of the Scholarship is to assist a Year 12 student from the Christmas Island District High School who wishes to commence their undergraduate studies at The University of Notre Dame Australia, Fremantle. The Scholarship may support a student who wishes to study in any School at the University’s Fremantle Campus.

    To be eligible for the Scholarship, applicants must:

    a. Have graduated or be due to graduate from full time Year 12 studies at the Christmas Island District High School in the year immediately prior to the year in which the Scholarship commences;
    b. Have been accepted as a full time first year or Tertiary Pathway Program student at the University;
    c. Be planning to undertake their studies at the University internally;
    d. Be able to demonstrate that their educational opportunities are limited because of the remoteness of the location they reside in; and
    e. Be able to demonstrate drive and commitment to achieve academically, despite financial hardship or other personal difficulty.

  • The Vice Chancellor’s Humanitarian Scholarship

    Value: Tuition fees of the recipient.

    The purpose of the Scholarship is to assist students holding one of the classes of visa listed in Appendix 1 of the Scholarship Conditions to commence or continue their studies at The University of Notre Dame Australia, Fremantle and Sydney Campuses.

    The Scholarship has been established by the University in keeping with the University’s commitment to ethics and social justice, within a context of Catholic faith and values.

    To be eligible for consideration, applicants must:

    a. Be from a refugee or asylum seeker background as evidenced by the applicant holding one of the classes of visa listed in Appendix 1 of the Scholarship Conditions which permits the recipient to undertake tertiary studies in Australia; and
    b. Have been offered a place or be enrolled as a student in an undergraduate bachelor program or in the Tertiary Pathway Program at The University of Notre Dame Australia, Fremantle or Sydney campus.

  • The Aurora Internship Program

    The purpose of the Internship Program is to facilitate individual professional development by building career experiences and opportunities in the Native Title and Indigenous sector, and to strengthen the capacity of Indigenous sector organisations by attracting and retaining talented Indigenous and non-Indigenous people. Students and graduates from Australian universities of a variety of disciplines may be eligible for the Program.

  • The Catenian Charity Inc. Scholarship

    Value: $5,000 per annum

    The purpose of the Scholarship is to assist young Catholic students in the choice or pursuit of a career for the duration of their studies. The recipient is required to use the Scholarship funds towards the cost of their tuition fees.

    To be eligible for the Scholarship applicants must:

    a. Be enrolled in a tertiary institution or tertiary residential college;
    b. Have completed at least 1 year of full time studies towards their Bachelor degree;
    c. Be 16 to 24 years of age;  
    d. Be in necessitous circumstances*;
    e. Demonstrate that their educational opportunities are limited, for example, because of financial need, distance, or responsibility for others, such as the ill or elderly; and
    f. Demonstrate drive and commitment to achieve academically, despite financial hardship, or other personal difficulty, in order to continue their studies.

    *A person is in necessitous circumstances where they cannot afford to have a modest standard of living in Australia. A person receiving Youth Allowance is qualified as necessitous.

  • Mannkal Overseas Internship Program

    Mannkal supports University students to undertake internships at think tanks overseas during the summer and winter University breaks. Internships run for between 6-12 weeks and locations include London, Washington DC, Los Angeles, Berlin, Athens, Vancouver, Wellington, and Hong Kong.

    The objective of the student Scholarship program is to allow students to learn more about free markets, economics and liberty whilst gaining practical work experience overseas. The scholarship covers all expenses associated with the internship program including travel, accommodation and living expenses.

    These opportunities are best suited to students studying commerce, economics, law, media, politics, journalism and engineering, however students from any faculty with an interest in free markets, economics and liberty are encouraged to apply.

  • Mary MacKillop Foundation Indigenous Tertiary Scholarship

    The Mary MacKillop Foundation has been providing tertiary scholarships for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students since 1998. Students come from tertiary education providers across the country and study a wide variety of disciplines including education, law, science, acting, music, social work, nursing, medicine, criminology, communications and more.

    Throughout their scholarship, students are supported by a mentor who they meet with every semester for assistance and guidance when needed.

  • The Pallottine Aboriginal Scholarship

    The purpose of this Scholarship is to assist Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander people who wish to undertake post secondary education. Scholarships pay for course fees for successful applicants.

  • Soroptimist International Fremantle Scholarship

    Value: $1,000

    Soroptimist International is a service organisation for women who work towards improving the lives and status of women and girls around the world. This is achieved through programs which educate, empower or provide enabling opportunities to women and girls. With advocacy as a focus, the organisation is a ‘Global Voice’ for women, with a presence in over 130 countries, worldwide and representation on committees reporting to the UN, including the Commission on the Status of Women.

    Soroptimist International is offering scholarships of $1,000 to female students who are enrolled in tertiary education.

  • Young Carer Bursary Program

    The purpose of the Young Carer Bursary Program is to assist young carers in greatest need, to continue to study and to relieve the financial pressure for them to undertake part-time work, in addition to their educational and caring responsibilities. Financial assistance is provided in the form of a bursary.

    Applications open in late July, early August each year and are accepted for up to six weeks from the opening date.

    Bursaries will be granted for 12 months with a new application process each year.

  • Global Mobility Immigration Lawyers Scholarship

    Value: $2,000

  • BHP Australia China Scholarship

    Value: up to $60,000 per annum

    The purpose of this Scholarship is to encourage and assist students and young professionals to pursue specialised study, research and experience in priority areas of interest in the bilateral Australia-China relationship. The Scholarship is given to encourage Australian students and young professionals to study in China in the following priority areas of interest:

    a. Sustainability, including climate change, carbon capture storage, low emissions technology, biodiversity, water stewardship
