Pathway to priesthood

Phuc’s vocation to enter the Catholic priesthood brought him to Australia from his homeland Vietnam – and to Notre Dame, where he first began to study for a Bachelor of Theology degree. Supporting him in his ambition is The Slavin Undergraduate Scholarship, awarded to Phuc in 2015, 2016 and 2017 and designed to assist seminarians from St Charles’ Seminary in Guildford who are studying at Notre Dame’s Fremantle Campus in their pathway to the priesthood. On completion of his degree, Phuc – who is known as Dominic to the Notre Dame community – plans to continue his academic pursuits to further understand and appreciate the Catholic faith and support parishioners following his ordination.
