Student and staff gym
Our Student/Staff Gym provides a competitively priced, convenient facility to remain physically and mentally active on campus.
Our facility is clean, flexible, and functional in design with high ceilings flooded with natural light, making it the ultimate wellness haven.
Open 6am-10pm on weekdays and 7am-5pm on weekends, you’ll enjoy high-quality fitness equipment including:
- Jim Bradley boxing punching bags
- Aerobic machines – treadmill, exercise bikes, rowing machine
- Weight machines – cable machine, torsonator, leg press
- Free weights – IronEdge bumper plates and bars, racks, dumbbells
Our affordable membership options include:
Membership Length Rate 1 month $28 3 months $65 6 months $115 12 months $220 Payment instructions will be provided at your induction session. All new members, including students and staff, are required to complete an induction session. You’ll need to sign a membership form and pre-medical form prior to joining the gym.
On completion of the induction and after receipt of payment, your membership card will be available for collection and your access will be activated.

We offer free on-campus fitness classes for students looking to improve their overall wellbeing (physical and mental).
Where: ND49 (Customs House), room attached to Staff and Student Gym.
Cost: Free for all UNDA Students (simply fill out the waiver form and bring a Student card to each session). $100 for a 10-week program for UNDA Staff.Programs we offer:

- UNDAMoves (Rewards for Getting Active)
- Moves+Linking your wearable fitness tracker to Open Play’s “Moves+” application, you can gain access to ND Moves. This initiative will reward UNDA students for logging walking, running, swimming and cycling fitness progress. Rewards given away include University merchandise, local vouchers and giveaways. Full details available on app.

Participating in social sport at Notre Dame is a great way to stay healthy while having fun and connecting with friends. All sports are mixed gender and place a priority on being a fun environment first, not the Olympics.
We offer a range of social sports on campus, including:
Mixed Volleyball

being UNDA students, and all teams must be mixed. - Multi-Sport has you competing in the same team each week like other social sport competitions, however each week the sport being played changes. Semester 1 will include sports like Dodgeball, Floorball, 3v3 Basketball, Netball and more.

Cost
- $200 per team for the semester (per sport) – due 2nd week of competition. If joining as an individual you will be placed in a team, and the team will required to pay the entry fee in the 2nd week of competition.

Participation sports
Participation in sports is a great way to keep healthy and have fun with friends at the same time.
We offer a range of options including:
- Courtyard sport
Drop into the Broadway courtyard during the week to have a hit of badminton, pickleball, Spikeball, shoot hoops, play ping pong, or try your hand at garden games. - Learn2Surf
Join other Notre Dame students for a day at Bondi Beach and Learn to surf. Keep an eye on dates for Sem 1 & 2. - Harbour Walk
Join other Notre Dame students for a morning walk and sightseeing along the Harbour and Botanic Gardens, followed by lunch by the water.

Bragging rights are on the line in Semester 2! We will be running an afternoon gaming competition that pitches school versus school. Each semester, we enter teams in local lunchtime competitions.
Just a short walk from the Broadway campus, it is mixed, social, fun, and FREE.
Games take place between 12-2pm and 6pm-10pm Tuesday – Friday, so if you have a free period join up! Here are the sports being offered this semester:

NSW Intervarsity
Every year, UniSport Nationals gives students from universities across Australia the opportunity to compete head-to-head in a number of national standard sporting competitions. Pop Up 1v1 Intervarsity Events will be arranged throughout the year as they arise.

Did you know… Notre Dame forms part of the Elite Athlete Friendly University (EAFU) Network, committed to supporting Australia’s elite athletes to achieve academic excellence whilst pursuing a sporting career.
Eligible elite athletes can negotiate their study and assessment options or explore any flexible studies arrangement in the course of their university degree.
An elite athlete or coach is identified and recognised, or is a member of one of the following organisations:

- Australian Institute of Sport
- Australian Professional Footballers’ Association
