Elite Athletes
The University of Notre Dame Australia is part of the Elite Athlete Friendly University (EAFU) Network committed to supporting Australia’s elite athletes to achieve academic excellence whilst pursuing a sporting career. Eligible elite athletes will be able to negotiate their course entry, study and assessment options or explore any flexible studies arrangement in the course of their university degree.
To be eligible for the program you must currently compete in your chosen sport at
- National open level
- National age-group level or State open level
- State age-group level
In order to apply, please download the Notre Dame Elite Athlete Program Application Form and email it to sydney.eap@nd.edu.au.

Lunchtime Social
Each semester we enter teams in local lunchtime competitions – a short walk from the Broadway campus. It’s mixed, social, fun and FREE. Games are between 12 – 1.30pm so if you have a free period join up!

- Tuesday: Netball
- Wednesday: Basketball
- Thursday: Netball, Futsal
- Friday: Touch, Basketball

“The Gift” & “The Holy Grail”
These are social sports evenings organised each semester and involve fun sports such as dodgeball and tug-o-war.
The Gift: Faculty v Faculty, Med v Law, Business v Education etc. Semester 1 (Date TBC)
The Holy Grail: sees us up against friendly “arch rival” ACU for a fun sports night. Semester 2, October (Date TBC)

Have a hit every Monday lunchtime in the Broadway courtyard.

Pedometer Challenge
Step into March! Join the Notre Dame step challenge during the month of March. Get stepping, get fit, get prizes!

Self-Defense Classes
Classes for beginners held at the Broadway campus on a weekly basis during Semester 1. Time and day TBC. Equipment provided.

Yoga
Classes held regularly on the Darlinghurst Campus during Semester 1. Times and days TBC.

Learn to Surf
Join other Notre Dame students for a day at Bondi Beach and learn to surf. Also a good chance to meet some of our Study Abroad students. Semester 1 date TBC

Bushwalking
Take a daytrip to Katoomba and experience the beauty of the Blue Mountains. Get your nature on and meet some of our Study Abroad students. Semester 1 date TBC

Run the iconic Sydney fun run, Sunday August 8, as part of the Notre Dame team.
