The School of Nursing & Midwifery is celebrating its 20th anniversary. The first Nursing students commenced their studies in 2000, and since then the School has gone from strength to strength.
Next year’s anniversary celebrations will be extra special because the World Health Organisation has declared 2020 as the Year of the Nurse and Midwife. The designation of 2020 is also especially welcome as it coincides with the 200th anniversary of the birth of Florence Nightingale, one of the founders of modern nursing.
Throughout 2020, the School of Nursing & Midwifery will celebrate this historic year for nursing, providing a wide range of events that you can engage with to help you to connect with your profession and progress your career.
