Sarah finds her passion in behavioural science
“What I love about behavioural science is that it’s a community of people, who believe in respect and equality for all people and promote positive social change. It’s a unique degree with a strong focus on achieving equality and reconciliation with Indigenous peoples,” says Behavioural Science graduate Sarah.
I feel privileged to receive such a high level of education and great mentoring from my lecturers throughout my degree.
“Specifically the Core Unit Ethics was beneficial to me, as it offers foundations on how to analyse problems and situations, and how to look for solutions that benefit different people in different ways. Critical thinking helps me a lot in both my Masters and in my private life,” she says.
Sarah, an international student from Germany, felt Notre Dame’s unique vibe was the right fit for her after travelling to Australia from Germany and enrolling as an international student. “I came to Australia as a traveller and fell in love with Fremantle, so I chose to live here,” says Sarah, a Master of Philosophy student.
“The University community also offers a home away from home.”
After completing a Bachelor of Behavioural Science degree at Notre Dame, Sarah continued her studies due to a research scholarship made possible by the University.
“I have a passion for research and when the opportunity to apply for the scholarship for the Master of Philosophy by research came along, it totally changed my life”.
