Notre Dame enhances flexible learning options with new Auburn Study Centre

08 June 2026

The University of Notre Dame Australia has announced it will open an Auburn Study Centre, expanding access to higher education for students based in Western Sydney. The Centre will support blended delivery across six undergraduate degrees and two tertiary pathway programs, enabling more students to study closer to home.

Opening in Semester 2 2026, the Auburn Study Centre reflects the University’s commitment to meeting the needs of one of Australia’s fastest-growing regions. It will offer a mix of undergraduate programs and new pathway options designed to support students at different stages of their academic journey, with a focus on flexibility and accessibility.

Located within an established Notre Dame facility that has supported medical education in Western Sydney for more than a decade, the Auburn Study Centre has been designed to deliver a broader range of disciplines and a contemporary learning experience for local students, making university study more accessible for students balancing work, family and other commitments.

The Centre features modern teaching and learning spaces, including a lecture theatre, student common areas and dedicated quiet study zones to support both individual and collaborative study.

Students will benefit from access to facilities in Auburn and on our main Broadway campus, as well as academic and student support services. Through a 1 + 1 learning delivery model, students will attend classes on-site in Auburn one day per week, while completing the remainder of their timetable at the Broadway Campus. This blended approach allows students to reduce travel time while remaining connected to a full university experience.

Programs available from Semester 2 2026 include:

  • Bachelor of Arts
  • Bachelor of Secondary Education
  • Bachelor of Commerce
  • Bachelor of Laws
  • Bachelor of Health Sciences
  • Bachelor of Primary Education

In addition, the Centre will offer pathway programs to support entry into university, including:

  • Tertiary Pathway Program (TPP) (fee-free for eligible students)
  • UniPath (fee-free for eligible students), commencing during the July and September school holidays

Community Information Evening 11 June

To support the launch, the University will host an information evening at the Auburn Study Centre, providing an opportunity for prospective students, families and members of the local community to find out more about study options available in the area.

During the Information evening, attendees will be able to:

  • Learn about undergraduate programs and pathway options
  • Meet academics and current students
  • Receive advice on admissions, enrolment and course selection
