Notre Dame launches $1 million COVID-19 Student Hardship Assistance Fund

08 April 2020

The COVID-19 Student Hardship Assistance Fund is part of a comprehensive support package for students affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The support package is an extension of Notre Dame’s commitment to pastoral care. Including increased student support, counselling and pastoral services, as well as access to the emergency support, the package aims to provide students with the critical support they need during their studies at Notre Dame.

The COVID-19 Student Hardship Assistance Fund will be made available by the ongoing generosity of donors to the University. It will provide up to $1000 per student for emergency assistance.

Any student facing hardship during the COVID-19 pandemic will have the support of the University to get through this challenging time and be able to continue receiving the high standard of education they expect from the University.

Vice Chancellor Professor Francis Campbell said the COVID-19 Student Hardship Assistance Fund is an important initiative in an unprecedented time, which will help alleviate the hardship some students are experiencing.
