Notre Dame shines bright in the latest Good Universities Guide

14 September 2022

The University of Notre Dame Australia has further improved its reputation as one of the best universities in the country for student experience based on The Good Universities Guide 2023 released today.

The University has retained all of its five-star rankings across 13 undergraduate and postgraduate categories for student experience and graduate outcomes.

For its undergraduate experience, the University secured five-star rankings in the categories of overall educational experience, learning engagement, skills development, student support, teaching quality, full-time employment, and starting salary.

For postgraduate studies, the University was awarded five stars for overall educational experience, learning engagement, skills development, teaching quality, full-time employment, and starting salary.

For the overall educational experience, Notre Dame is ranked second and third in the country respectively for undergraduate and postgraduate offerings.

The Good Universities Guide includes ratings on the performance of Australian universities using a broad range of indicators, including the Federal Government’s Quality Indicators for Learning and Teaching (QILT), which measure students’ and graduates’ educational experiences and outcomes.

To achieve a five-star rating in any category in The Good Universities Guide, an organisation must fall within the top 20 per cent across all Australian universities. Notre Dame’s results demonstrate once again its leadership in the higher education sector and particularly in providing an excellent student experience.

Notre Dame’s Vice Chancellor, Professor Francis Campbell, welcomed the results saying, “As a university community we pride ourselves on ensuring all our students have a transformative educational experience. Receiving such positive feedback from our students affirms the care and commitment that our staff provide to our students as we help them take important steps to achieve their goals.”
