A record number of people packed The University of Notre Dame’s Fremantle Campus on Sunday 11 August for the University’s annual Open Day event.
More than 6300 visitors enjoyed a range of activities, from talks on the myriad programs available at the Universities nine schools and tours of the heritage features of the Campus to fun activities and great food.
This year’s theme, ‘Open your mind’ underscored Notre Dame’s leadership in liberal arts education and the value of critical thinking in preparing students for the future workplace.
“Through our theme we encouraged future students to explore the degrees on offer, attend a wide range of talks and session and mingle with our Deans, academics and more than 200 current students for an up close and personal view of life on our Campus,” said Head of Fremantle Campus and Pro Vice Chancellor, Professor Selma Alliex.
“Our aim was to provide a comprehensive view on our unique approach to tertiary education and how we educate our students for life beyond the Campus.”
