HLT23215 Certificate II in Health Support Services
This qualification is suitable for people who would like to work in the health care environment in positions such as support services worker, ward assistant, cleaner and orderly. These workers do not provide direct care functions, but assist other staff with the care of patients.
During this program you will learn knowledge and hands-on practical skills to apply health and safety practices, communicate and work effectively in the workplace, and apply infection control practices. These skills will allow you to work as a team member to support the effective functioning of health services in hospitals and aged care facilities.
This program is delivered face to face on Notre dame’s Broome Campus, is part-time over 18 months, and you will be required to successfully complete 12 units of competency, 4 core units and 8 electives, to be awarded a HLT23215 Certificate II in Health Support Services qualification.
This entry-level qualification is suitable Year 11 and 12 students in VET in Schools programs, for school leavers or other interested persons wanting to gain employment in the health industry.
