If you are a Registered Nurse who would like to enhance your leadership and management abilities, then our Graduate Certificate in Nursing Leadership & Management will give you the skills to excel in a variety of settings. The program includes a combination of online study, face-to-face tuition and special masterclasses. Furthermore, the timetable is flexible enough to accommodate the needs of those already working as Registered Nurses in Western Australia.
Why study this degree?
Our Graduate Certificate in Nursing Leadership and Management has been developed by the University’s School of Nursing & Midwifery in collaboration with the Western Australian Department of Health. The program, which you can complete over one year part-time, consists of four subjects and puts a special emphasis on learning new leadership and management skills that can be applied directly to the workplace.
After successfully completing the program, if you want to further upgrade your qualifications you can enrol in a Graduate Diploma of Nursing followed by a Master of Nursing (Leadership and Management). You are welcome to apply if you are a Registered Nurse with a nursing degree or, have appropriate experience in a relevant area of discipline and meet the criteria for entry into the program as outlined on the WA Department of Health website.

This program is available to registered nurses who have a previous nursing degree or equivalent and
who have accumulated appropriate experience in a relevant discipline area. You must apply directly
to the Department of Health.
Applicants must be registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia.
Candidates must be employed in an RN 1-4 position with WA Health and have their hospital's support to undertake the program.
