Graduate Certificate in Human Resource Management

The Graduate Certificate in Human Resource Management is a specialist program for students wishing to advance their skills in this particular discipline. Held over one semester full-time, or two semesters part-time, the program covers key issues such as the psychology of work, employment relations and more. Upon graduation, you can embark on a Master of Business.

Open to domestic students only, the certificate requires students to complete four courses from a range of seven options. Depending on your specific interests, you will be able to tailor your program to study subjects such as the effect of cultural norms and assumptions on the modern workplace, and the role of human resource policies in changing corporate culture.
By drawing on the disciplines of psychology, change management, and strategic workforce issues, this qualification will place you at the forefront of current business practice. Furthermore, should you wish, the program can also act as a stepping stone to a Master of Business at the university.
Students are required to choose four subjects from the following:
- Human Resource Development
- Psychology of Work
- Human Resource Management
- Change Management
- Human Resource Policy
- Strategic Workforce Issues
- Employment Relations

Academic requirements are as follows:
- A Bachelor's degree from a recognised Australian or overseas university demonstrating the attainment of satisfactory grades OR
- A minimum of three years’ experience in a management position. Recognition of Prior Learning may be granted to selected applicants who have no formal tertiary qualifications but who have at least 10 years' industry experience.
Applications should be received at least one month prior to commencement. However, there are limited places available in postgraduate courses and they will be filled on a first-come first-served basis, so early application is encouraged.

The FEE-HELP loan scheme assists eligible fee-paying students with the payment of all, or part, of their tuition fees, not including additional study costs such as accommodation or textbooks. Your FEE-HELP debt will be indexed each year in line with the Consumer Price Index and also includes a loan fee of 25 per cent for all undergraduate programs of study.
