This program combines classroom learning with hands-on experience, and places a strong focus on the nurse-patient relationship. Notre Dame’s Nursing degree is comprehensive, exposing students to a wide range of specialisations – this is unique for an undergraduate program. The program includes over 1,000 hours of full-time professional workplace experience, giving you the opportunity to apply theory to practice. Students enrolled in the Bachelor of Nursing will be registered with AHPRA as a student nurse. If you already hold a Diploma HLT51607, HLT51612 or HLT54115 you are exempt from taking certain courses and can complete the Bachelor of Nursing in two years. Accreditation The Bachelor of Nursing 3536 is fully accredited by the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Accreditation Council (ANMAC), and as a graduate you will be eligible to register with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and work in a wide range of clinical settings. Notre Dame graduates are highly regarded by the profession and excel in gaining graduate employment. The Bachelor of Nursing 3571 is not yet accredited by ANMAC or approved by the NMBA and will not lead to registration as a nurse or midwife in Australia under the approved qualification pathway, National Law Section 53a.
