Sarah took leave from her career in health management to complete the 12-month Graduate Certificate in Aboriginal Studies at Notre Dame’s Broome Campus. The program provides in-depth knowledge of Aboriginal history. It also gives students the opportunity to spend time ‘on Country’, learning from Kimberley Aboriginal people. “The degree has been developed and endorsed in consultation with highly respected Aboriginal leaders. As a result, our learning experience is real and authentic. It broadened my perspective on the plight of Aboriginal people and encouraged me to keep working to make a difference,” says Sarah.
