The Graduate Certificate in Nursing Leadership & Management is a co-badged health service program aimed at progressively enhancing the leadership and management skills necessary to successfully operate in the practice setting. It is offered in collaboration with the Nursing and Midwifery Office (NMO), Western Australian Department of Health. Interested students must apply directly to the Nursing and Midwifery Office. Applications close six months prior to program commencement for the following year intake. Loan Scheme : FEE-HELP The Graduate Diploma of Nursing builds on the Graduate Certificate in Nursing Leadership and Management to progressively enhance the leadership and management skills necessary to successfully operate in the practice setting. Further to the courses studied in the Graduate Certificate in Nursing Leadership and Management, students undertake four more courses of study provided by the School of Nursing & Midwifery or School of Business. These are chosen in discussion with the Postgraduate Coordinator. Students also have the option to enrol in the Graduate Diploma of Business. MASTER OF NURSING LEADERSHIP MANAGEMENT Duration : Three years part-time Admission requirements : The program is available to those who have a professional health degree or equivalent qualification. Applicants must be registered, or be eligible for registration, with their professional registering authority if applicable. It is preferable that students have two years’ experience. Loan Scheme: FEE-HELP The Master of Nursing provides a further year of study for Registered Nurses to consolidate their practice through the completion of a research dissertation. Students complete the courses as part of the Graduate Certificate and Graduate Diploma programs. In the final year of the Master of Nursing, students are allocated a research supervisor to support them in their research engagement in an area relevant to their specialty of nursing practice.
