51 PERIOPERATIVE NURSING GRADUATE DIPLOMA OF PERIOPERATIVE NURSING Duration : One year full-time Admission requirements : A Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent, a current licence to practise as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) and current employment at one of the affiliate health services. Loan Scheme : The standard course costs do not apply for the Graduate Diploma of Perioperative Nursing. Course costs are reduced due to the unique nature of this hospital based/University supported learning program. The Graduate Diploma of Perioperative Nursing is a co-badged health service program offered by the School of Nursing & Midwifery in collaboration with our health care facility affiliates. It is aimed at enabling Registered Nurses to develop knowledge and consolidate skills to function as specialists within the perioperative field. It is also aimed at providing current practising perioperative nurses with opportunities to advance their current practice. Upon successful completion of the Graduate Diploma program, participants are able to contribute to perioperative nursing as a specialty. Loan Scheme : FEE-HELP The Master of Nursing (Perioperative Nursing) builds on the Graduate Diploma of Perioperative Nursing, enabling Registered Nurses to develop knowledge and consolidate the skills necessary to function as specialists within the perioperative field. It is also aimed at providing current practising perioperative nurses with opportunities to advance their current practice. The Master’s program provides a further year of study for Registered Nurses to consolidate their practice through the completion of a research dissertation.
