Graduate Certificate in Religious Education Designed to be completed in six months of full-time study, our Graduate Certificate in Religious Education is a special program designed for qualified teachers who wish to upgrade their religious education skills and qualifications. Tuition is delivered via a series of face-to-face classes and online. You are required to complete two compulsory courses in Theology and Religious Education and two electives from a wide range of courses. Program code: 4073 Commencement: Summer Term, Semester 1, Winter Term, Semester 2 Duration: 0.5 years full-time or equivalent part-time (subject to the availability of courses) Study mode: Fremantle Campus (Blended learning), 100% Online (WA) Program summary • Christology or Mystery of Christ 4: Church and Sacraments or Foundations of Moral Theology • Critical Issues in Catholic Schooling or Critical Issues in Religious Education • Two Religious Education Electives You may commence your studies in the Summer Term (January), Semester 1 (February), April Intensive, Winter Term (July), Semester 2 (July) or October Intensive, subject to course availability. Entry requirements The program is open to applicants who have the following: • The equivalent of a four-year teaching qualification. • A GPA of at least 2.5 or higher. • A minimum of three years’ teaching experience. You are expected to attend our Fremantle Campus for 26 hours each week during the program, while the online classes can be completed in four hours per week.
