Graduate Diploma of Theology The Graduate Diploma of Theology provides a detailed overview of Christianity through the study of scripture, church history, biblical studies and morality. The program consists of eight courses and can be completed in one year of full-time study or the equivalent part-time. The course is available at our Fremantle Campus or online using Notre Dame’s e-learning portal. Theology has always held a central place in the life and mission of the Christian community. It is through Theology that the Church comes to understand its own faith and explains that faith to others. This highly focused program therefore appeals to students who wish to pursue a career in church ministry, counselling, teaching in a Catholic school or pastoral care. The Graduate Diploma of Theology is designed for those with no previous background in theological studies, who wish to update their knowledge, are preparing for or involved in pastoral ministry, or wish to pursue such studies for reasons of personal and spiritual growth. Since 2017, this program has been available as a fully online blended learning program for domestic and international students, with all eight courses available via the University’s Blackboard e-learning portal.
