Designed for working professionals, the Graduate Diploma of Perioperative Nursing has been jointly created by the School of Nursing & Midwifery and industry experts. Perioperative nurses care for surgical patients having interventional procedures in operating suites and day surgery units, and if you enrol in this program, you receive rigorous academic and clinical development components. Study days covering a broad range of relevant topics are held throughout the year at the various partnership facilities. The program is open to anyone with an undergraduate nursing degree (or equivalent) who is also an employee of one of our affiliated health services – see list below. Once you have completed this program, you may apply for a Master of Nursing (Perioperative), which requires a further year of study.
