HEALTH SCIENCES MASTER OF HEALTH SCIENCES Duration: Two years full-time or the equivalent part-time Admission requirements: A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent completed to a high standard Loan Scheme: RTP* Campus: Fremantle A Master of Health Sciences culminates in examination by thesis. Although, there is no coursework component, coursework may be requested by the Dean to support the research process. DOCTOR OF HEALTH SCIENCE Duration: Three years full-time or the equivalent part-time Admission requirements: An Honours or Master’s level degree, completed to a high standard. Previous research experience is required and at least three years’ professional experience is required for the professional doctorate. Loan Scheme: RTP* Campus: Fremantle The Doctor of Health Science is a specialised degree that combines coursework and research with strong workplace connections. Students complete four research training and writing courses in the first semester of the degree before commencing the research program under the supervision of Notre Dame’s leading health academics. Research can be undertaken in collaboration with industry or a professional mentor connected to their field of study. PHILOSOPHY MASTER OF PHILOSOPHY Duration: One and a half years full-time or the equivalent part-time Admission requirements: A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent completed to a high standard Loan Scheme: RTP* Campus: Fremantle A Master of Philosophy combines coursework in research training with writing a thesis. It is possible for students from other disciplines to undertake a Master of Philosophy in Health Sciences. Additional coursework may be required to support the study process. DOCTOR OF PHILOSOPHY (PHD) Duration: Three years full-time or the equivalent part-time Admission requirements: An Honours or Master’s level degree, completed to a high standard. Previous research experience is required. Loan Scheme: RTP* Campus: Fremantle A Doctor of Philosophy culminates in the evaluation of a substantial thesis that a significant question and adds to educational knowledge.
