53 APPLY DIRECT NOTREDAME.EDU.AU SCHOOL OF EDUCATION Education (Conversion) Bachelor of Education (Conversion) Practicum: N/A Loan Scheme: FEE-HELP / HECS-HELP Available on either a full-time or part- time basis, the Bachelor of Education (Conversion) is an undergraduate program that allows teachers trained for three years in Australia to upgrade their qualification to four-year degree status. The program consists of eight courses, including one in Theology, Philosophy or Ethics. Why study this degree This program, which is recognised by the Teachers’ Registration Board of Western Australia, enhances your future employment prospects and also opens up the possibility of undertaking further postgraduate study at The University of Notre Dame Australia. It has been tailored to the needs of working teachers and includes external courses which allow you the flexibility to shape your own schedule, plus some intensive and semi-intensive classroom sessions at our Fremantle Campus. The program's eight courses are chosen from the current list published on the School of Education website. One of these must be a Theology, Philosophy or Ethics course at a 400 level. To work in the Catholic school system, you must include sufficient studies in Theology and Religious Education to meet the requirements set out by Catholic Education Western Australia. You may also use a combination of courses to complete a four-course specialisation in Religious Education or Special Needs.
