You are challenged to examine your own beliefs, values and approach to living. A study of Philosophy will boost your own critical thinking abilities and deepen your cultural literacy by exploring how philosophical thought has influenced Western culture. This three-year Bachelor of Philosophy program covers various areas of philosophical thought, major topics, and thinkers within the discipline. It also includes exploration of the Catholic intellectual tradition. The Bachelor of Theology is designed to provide you with grounding in Biblical and Theological Studies and appeals to those who wish to pursue their own spiritual growth or embark on a career in the ministry, teaching or pastoral care. The program has been designed for students with no previous background in theological studies or those who might wish to update their theological knowledge. It will appeal specifically to students who are preparing for a career in ministry or others who are following a personal journey of spiritual discovery and growth. Please Note: Theology is the necessary qualification for those wishing to exercise various ministries within the Christian community and to contribute to the work of the Church. It is also the necessary basis for graduate theological study and research. Double degree Bachelor of Philosophy / Bachelor of Theology Recommended Year 12 subjects: ATAR English and either Religion & Life or Philosophy & Ethics Loan Scheme: FEE-HELP The double degree combines aspects of the Bachelors of Philosophy and Theology over a five year period.
