Critical thinking In the context of commercial operations and business activities in the 21st century, the need for a well-informed and integrated understanding of influencing factors, circumstances and dynamics is crucial. In our programs we prepare future business leaders for the transition into unknown territory, through experience and an integrated curriculum and program content. This positions you to critically consider and analyse modern day realities such as the implementation of artificial intelligence and robotics, leveraging big data and appreciating the threats and opportunities of the emerging gig economy. Professional experience Through our Internship program, you gain the expertise, knowledge, confidence and practical skills necessary to adapt and excel in the highly competitive business environment. The Business Internship is a key (and compulsory) component of Business degrees and is both developmental and experiential in nature. The fully-graded program involves three phases: Phase One consists of a series of seminars covering topics such as current employment demographics, resume writing, interview preparation and general workplace conduct; Phase Two includes a series of presentations and seminars from industry leaders; Phase Three is your internship. Having industry experience to add to your formal qualification gives you a competitive edge while also helping you identify the skills required for your business career. You may have the opportunity to complete your business internship at an international organisation to give you valuable insight into an economically, culturally and politically different business culture. Double degree options Bachelor degrees in Commerce, Human Resource Management, Marketing & Public Relations and Sport & Recreation Management can be combined with a variety of other Notre Dame degrees, including those from the Schools of Arts & Sciences, Health Sciences or Law.
