TERTIARY PATHWAY PROGRAM The Tertiary Pathway Program (TPP) is designed to help if you have not met the requirements for entry into the University’s undergraduate degree programs. Following successful completion of the TPP, you may gain entry to undergraduate studies the following Schools: ›› Arts & Sciences ›› Business ›› Education ›› Health Sciences ›› Nursing ›› Philosophy & Theology. Program structure You complete a one-week intensive course during Orientation Week, Learning for University. This course is designed to facilitate your transition into university life and must be successfully completed before you progress to the remaining four courses: ›› Academic Writing ›› Communication Skills ›› Essential Maths ›› Research Skills and Information Literacy. Nursing & Health Sciences Pathway If you wish to transition into the Bachelor of Nursing or Health Sciences you will complete the following courses: ›› Learning for University (intensive one week unit in Orientation Week) ›› Academic Writing ›› Research Skills and Information Literacy ›› Essential Mathematics ›› Foundations of Human Biology Education Pathway If you wish to transition into the Bachelor of Education (Primary and Early Child & Care; 0-8 years) you will complete the following: ›› Learning for University (intensive one week unit in Orientation Week) ›› Academic Writing ›› Research Skills and Information Literacy ›› Communications Skills ›› Essential Maths I’ve completed the Tertiary Pathway Program, now what? Following the successful completion of the Tertiary Pathway Program you’ll receive a Record of Achievement and a Certificate of Attainment. This allows you to apply for entry into undergraduate programs that have a minimum entry ATAR of 70. Please note that direct entry to a number of degree programs such as Bachelor of Education (Secondary), Education double degrees, Bachelor of Health & Physical Education (Secondary), Law, Medicine and Physiotherapy are not available through the Tertiary Pathway Program. Other pathways to these programs are possible. The TPP is available only for Australian and New Zealand citizens, permanent residents and holders of humanitarian visas. Admission pathways
