I N P R I N C I P I O | 1 8 COLLABORATIVE RESEARCH NETWORK BUILDING RESEARCH CAPACITY AND CAPABILITY In 2013, The University of Notre Dame Australia was awarded $5.6 million by the Department of Education and Training to embark on a significant five-year research program into the national health and wellbeing of all Australians. It was called the Collaborative Research Network (CRN). Titled ‘ Healthy people, healthy country: Translating evidence into action to improve health and wellbeing ’, the CRN program comprised seven research projects across Notre Dame’s three Campuses. These projects resulted in more than 430 research publications, with about half published in collaboration with industry partners and a quarter with international partners – highlighting the active pursuit of meaning ful partnerships by our researchers.
