Newsletter, November 2021

Staffing updates Congratulations Uweinna on the birth of baby Keefe Welcome to our latest newsletter. This is a special ‘bumper’ edition because it has been quite some time since our last! As you’ll see, we’ve been keeping very busy with projects happening all across the Kimberley region, we’ve hosted a number of very exciting events, as well as running interesting and informative academic and professional development courses. Since our last newsletter we’ve also had a range of staffing changes, and our list of publications continues to grow. NULUNGU Newsletter NO V EMB E R 2 0 2 1 A new partnership, William Roe, 1994 Assistant Director Appointed Senior Administration Officer Uweinna Albert has been on maternity leave this year and we have been lucky to have two amazing women to fill in for her. Sarimah Darcy was here from February to August and Jo Wilkins has been at the helm since September. It has been wonderful to work with them both. We of course look forward to Uweinna’s return in February 2022. Mel is also an ECR Industry-linked Research Fellow for Nulungu. As we work towards the appointment of a new Director for Nulungu in early 2022, Mel is continuing to also act in this role. Congratulations to Dr Melissa Marshall, who has recently been appointed as Nulungu’s Assistant Director. Mel has been leading the team since the departure of our previous Director, Professor Juli Coffin, in December 2018, however it was great news to have this formalised.
