  • Biography

Associate Professor Anne-Marie Hill is an early career Research Fellow who recently moved from the IHR to Curtin University. While working at Notre Dame, she was awarded a NHMRC early career fellowship (2012-2015) and project grant to investigate preventing falls among older people after hospital discharge.

As gerontological physiotherapist with over 20 years clinical experience, Anne-Marie currently provides HDR student supervision to seven students based in the IHR who are engaged in ongoing falls prevention research, two of whom are expected to submit their theses later in the year. Associate Professor Hill remains a key Project Lead in Notre Dame’s Collaborative Research Network and shares a 2016 project grant with Professors Codde and Bruce through the Fremantle Hospital Medical Research Foundation.

As a result, Associate Professor Hill’s links to the IHR remain strong through existing students, joint publications and funded research that are cemented with a view to continue to develop this area of research into the future.
