  • Biography

    I am a medical doctor from Italy where I graduated in 2006 at the University of Perugia. In 2013, I completed my post-graduated training in General Surgery, again through the University of Perugia, during which I had the opportunity to spend few months as a Registrar in London at the University College Hospital. In August 2013 I moved to Australia, where I started my PhD in Neuroscience through the School of Health Sciences in February 2014. I completed my PhD and submitted the final thesis in March 2017 and graduated in December 2017. At the moment I am working as a Research Officer at the Perron Institute for Neorological and Translational Science, QEII Medical Centre (Nedlands), and as a sessional Lecturer for the School of Health Sciences.

    During my PhD I performed my experimental work at the Perron Institute for Neurological and Translational Science. The topic of my Research is the assessment of the neuroprotective potential of poly-arginine peptides using rat stroke models.
