Animal Research Ethics
Before conducting research that involves animals, you must receive approval from the Animal Ethics Committee (AEC). This includes:
- Physical and mental whole animal testing
- Use of animal biospecimens
Starting research before you have ethics approval may constitute research misconduct. Notre Dame uses the services of Murdoch University's AEC.
Contact the Research Ethics Officer for more information.
