Research integrity

Breach of Code

The University of Notre Dame expects research staff and students to be familiar with its Notre Dame Code of Conduct for Research to prevent a breach of its code. Any violation of research integrity will be sanctioned appropriately. Specific information regarding Notre Dame's Academic Misconduct Policy can be found in section 9 of the Policy: Code of Conduct for Research 2006

More detailed information on research specific obligations to be aware of can be found in the sections 'Good Practice Guidelines' and 'Questionable Practices' of the 'Research Development' pages.

You are strongly encouraged to update yourself on what is widely considered best practice versus what is unacceptable behaviour, and therefore considered academic misconduct.

Notre Dame's research regulations and policies are guided by the general principles and standards of Australia's national guidelines on best practice in research.
