Printing

Printer Access

You can easily print, scan, email or copy from any printer on campus using your University ID card. To access print services, staff members need to have an activated account. You can activate your account by logging into the Think Print Admin using your University ID and password.

If you need to print something from your personal device, you can email it to any printer on campus, and it will remain in a secure print queue until you're ready to retrieve it. Manual print options are available temporarily if your staff card is lost or forgotten.

Think Print portals

  • Think Print Admin
Access the admin portal to activate your account. All new and re-printed University ID cards may require re-activation before access to printer services is granted or restored.
  • Think Print
Check what jobs are waiting in your print queue and upload a new job.

BYOD Printing

If you use your own device, you can still print your document on campus by emailing it to your campus queue. For Fremantle and Broome printers, send the email to printing.west@nd.edu.au. For Sydney printers, send the email to printing.east@nd.edu.au. You will receive a confirmation email once your document is available in the SafeQ print queue.

Please note that documents in the queue are kept for 48 hours. You will receive a notification if you do not print within 24 hours. Another notification will be sent after 48 hours to let you know that the document has been removed from the queue.

The SafeQ printing system supports the following file types: PDF, HTML, HTM, GIF, PNG, JPEG, TIFF, DOC, DOCX, XLS, XLSX, PPT, PPTX, RTF, TXT, ODT, ODS, ODP.

Supplies and replacement

Automated orders and delivery systems are in place for supplies to ensure printers are always ready to use. When toner levels are low, a new supply is ordered and delivered to your office within 72 hours. However, specialty parts such as Transfer Kits, Fuser Kits, Roller Kits, and Document Feeders require assistance from a Support Technician for installation and removal. If you receive a notification for replacing any of these parts, please email the IT Service Desk with the following information: Location, Printer Model, and Serial Number.

To ensure proper disposal and recycling of all printer consumables, please return them to the designated specialty bins in the IT Office. Boxes from printer parts should be flattened and placed in the nearest recycle bin on campus. Please note that IT Services does not recycle boxes and plastic wraps.
