Notre Dame student Amelia is an aspiring HR professional who is passionate about assisting organisations to grow by empowering their employees.

“HR is great because, not only does it let you help an organisation grow, but it also lets you work with the employees within the organisation and build them up as well."

Utilising the skills that she has learned from her Notre Dame Commerce and Arts degrees, Amelia is already excelling with the support from the University and her lecturers.

Amelia has been recognised for her student excellence in the field of Human Resources as a finalist for the Australian Human Resource Institute (AHRI)'s national Ram Charan Student Award. Finalists for the award are chosen based on their essay submissions identifying the issues, benefits and challenges for HR and organisations in the future.

“It’s great that we have such small class sizes and that the lecturers actually know who we are, and are interested in our future and interested in our career. Not just while we are at university but when we are finished as well,” says Amelia.
