Leading in criminal law

Notre Dame alumna, Laura, is one of Perth’s most respected criminal lawyers. Growing up in Waroona as part of an Italian migrant family she was always driven to work hard and achieve something on her own.

Laura was among the second wave of graduates from Notre Dame’s School of Law in 2001. “I loved the social aspect of university, it made study and experiencing life in your early 20s enjoyable — the most carefree years of my life,” she said.

"I am really proud of being a Notre Dame graduate. The degree equipped me with both discipline and a passion for learning, which is so important as a lawyer. Law continuously develops and so you’re constantly learning new things.

Notre Dame also helped me create a strong framework of compassion and ethics, which I have continued to build upon and which form the cornerstone of my legal practice.

Laura has always had a strong passion for helping people accused of committing crimes and supporting them through the criminal justice system.

She is now celebrating 10 years as Director of her firm, Timpano Legal Perth Criminal Lawyers.
