Graduating in 2018, Rowan studied Notre Dame’s unique Bachelor of Physiotherapy / Bachelor of Exercise & Sport Science.

This degree is the only one of its kind in Australia and incorporates two complementary programs in the health and exercise sciences.

Grounded in practical experience the degree also teaches the social and mental factors that influence health, giving students the depth of understanding required to work across a variety of clinical settings, populations and age groups.

Notre Dame has taught me to use critical thinking to look at the person in front of me not just at face value but in a holistic way. To understand more about them and why they are how they are, rather than just treating an issue or a pathology.

The Bachelor of Physiotherapy / Bachelor of Exercise & Sport Science is a five year program that includes 1400 hours of practical workplace experience.

"I definitely feel job ready and excited. The extensive amount of prac has really prepared me," Rowan says.

Rowan graduated with a secured position as a physiotherapist working in paediatrics, his chosen field.

“The highlight of my degree has been the good vibes at Notre Dame and building real friendships that will last.”
