Returning to study after 20 years could have been daunting, but Nadine found the support from academic staff at Notre Dame allowed her to proceeding with confidence.

“Coming from a space where we haven’t studied for such a long time it is incredibly challenging, but I have realised my potential in an academic space and that certainly has been scaffolded by the staff who work at Notre Dame,” Nadine said.

Building on the diverse skills that nurses require to respond in dynamic environments Nadine is studying the Graduate Certificate in Nursing (Registered Nurse Re-entry).

This intensive 14-week program allows former registered nurses to resume their career in the nursing profession. It is accredited by the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Accreditation Council (ANMAC) and Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.

“They (Notre Dame) are certainly industry forward, they are talking to industry all the time, so you know your place once you have graduated.”

“Freo is fabulous. Coming to uni every day is actually a pleasure, not a chore.”
