Next generation of leaders gain competitive edge over the competition Sport Coaching and Leadership Notre Dame’s newest online offerings are our Graduate Certificate and Graduate Diploma in Sport Coaching and Leadership. Both programs develop coaches who understand, manage and lead people ethically. According to Daniel Hiscock, Assistant Head of Sport/Physical Performance Manager at Wesley College, these programs “bridge a big gap in the industry and will help develop individuals in a number of key areas.” “In an ever-competitive market, this qualification will provide real value to individuals and organisations that work in, or aspire to work in, sports governing bodies, education, institutes and clubs.” As part of the programs, students explore coaching and leadership theories and behaviours, cultural issues, performance analysis techniques, and professional practice principles. The Diploma further develops a comprehensive knowledge of ethical coaching, management and leadership strategies, with a particular focus on strength and conditioning, and integrated performance. Delivered flexibly online, with a one-week face-to-face component on the Fremantle Campus, the programs are designed for people who are working and studying at the same time. Applications are open now for Semester 1 2021. For more information contact future@nd.edu.au . Alumni Magazine – Page 13
