49 NURSING & MIDWIFERY CRITICAL CARE NURSING GRADUATE DIPLOMA OF CRITICAL CARE NURSING Duration : Two years part-time Admission requirements : A Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent, a current licence to practise as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) and current employment as a Registered Nurse with St John of God Healthcare (Subiaco). Loan Scheme : The standard course costs do not apply. Course costs are reduced due to the unique nature of this hospital based/ University supported learning program. The School of Nursing & Midwifery, together with St John of God Health Care (SJGHC), provide the opportunity for the Registered Nurse to study the Graduate Diploma of Critical Care Nursing. The Diploma focuses on enabling Registered Nurses to develop knowledge and consolidate skills to function as a specialist within the critical care area. It is also aimed at providing practising critical care nurses with opportunities to advance their current practice. On successful completion of the program, participants can contribute effectively to critical care nursing as a specialty. Interested nurses must apply directly to the health service for a Graduate Diploma of Critical Care Nursing program employment contract.
